no sooner had the rumors become true that bill graham would not run again...

looks like the race is on for bill's seat.

Tonight when Graham announced his retirement Bob Rae thought bill was going to give him an endorsement.
Instead Bill said there will be a open nomination and looking over at Meredith Cartwright.
Meredith, is a Toronto Centre resident and Human Rights lawyer, she also teaches law at the University of Toronto. She will run in this nomination and I think she will give Rae a run for his money.
